MATSYK – Audrey Ann

Audrey died on April 1, 2009 in Prince Albert. She was born in Yorkton on December 23, 1959 and attended school there. She later attained Bachelor Degrees in both Arts and Education at the University of Saskatchewan. Audrey spent most of her teaching career in Prince Albert working first with children with developmental disabilities and then later teaching grades 1 and 2. She was actively involved with the STF. Audrey had a zest for life and was adventuresome in her travels and pursuits of new experiences. Audrey’s life was marked by many achievements, most notably her impact on her friends and family. Audrey will be lovingly missed by her mother Nathleen Matsyk; her siblings David and Jackie Matsyk, and their respective families and as well as by her many caring friends. She was predeceased by her father James Matsyk. A Celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. A funeral will take place in Yorkton at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
