Passed peacefully away from breast cancer on April 6, 2009 at the Palliative Care Unit aged 52 years. Leaving to mourn her loving spouse, Roger Barnes; mother, Ita Christopher; sister Sandy (Harry); brother Gerald (Rhonda and Emily), Greg (Cindy, Amy and Sarah); beloved nieces: Heather (Bryan), Courtney and Caitlin Cox; as well as friends and former co-workers at St. Andrew’s Elementary. Predeceased by her father Ed Bonia; sister Helen Cox; nephew Jordan Cox. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from Mary Queen of Peach Catholic Church, Torbay Road on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road.
