It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful beloved wife, mother and grandmother Catherine (Babes) Arsenault (nee Doucette) of Summerside, P.E.I., at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Friday, April 10, 2009, aged 71 years. Catherine was born on March 5, 1938, in Summerside, P.E.I., to her late parents, Jerry and Catherine (nee MacLeod) Doucette. Cherished wife of Windsor Arsenault and loving mother of Kevin (Chrissy ) and Karen (Ken) of Dartmouth, N.S., Keith (Patti), Ken (Cheryl) and Kristine all of Summerside, and Kathryn (Robert) of Wolfville, N.S. Also lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters, Helen Harris of Summerside, Bobby ( Marilyn ) MacEachern, and Donna (Ronnie) Gallant of Charlottetown, and her sister-in-law, Elaine Pierce. Besides her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Enright, Buddy, Angus, Ollie and DeeDee and her brother-in-law, Gordon Harris. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Tuesday, April 14, 2009, for funeral mass at St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours on Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. only. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to the M.S. Society in Catherine’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
