The death occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B., on Sunday, April 5, 2009, of Ronald Alfred England of Summerside, and formerly of Bideford, P.E.I., aged 70 years. Ron was born on July 15, 1938, in Summerside, P.E.I., to his late parents, Winston and Jean (nee MacLean) England. Beloved husband of Ernestine (nee Steele) England and loving father of Tara of Borden, P.E.I., and Tyler of Edmonton, Alta. Also lovingly remembered by his stepmother, Blanche England, of Summerside, his sister, Ernestine Gay (Ren Hillier), of Toronto, Ont., and his nephews, Scott and Paul Hillier. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Monday, April 13, 2009, for funeral mass at St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Bideford, at a later date. Memorial donations in Ron’s memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Summerset Manor Dialysis Unit would be greatly accepted. By personal request there will be no visiting hours held.
