Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, April 9, 2009, Florence Baggs of Carbonear, formerly of Adams Cove, age 94 years. Predeceased by husband: John N.; brothers: Frazer, James and William; sisters: Marie and Vida Mae; sister-in-law Magretta Powers. Leaving to mourn: two daughters, Marie (Harold) Parsons, St. John’s, and Cavell (Cyril) Moriarty, Harbour Grace; five grandchildren: Tina (John), Trent, Trevor (Michelle), Stacey (Sherisse) and Kristie (Ryan); four great-grandchildren: Owen, Holly, Emily and Leah Kathleen; one brother: Chester, St. John’s; two sisters: Myrtle (Dr. George) Kennedy, St. John’s and Dorothea Skinner, Mass., USA; brother-in-law Ross Bennett, St. John’s; her many special friends at the Charwood Manor where she resided, Carbonear, and also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Monday, April 13 at 1 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in the United Cemetery, Blackhead. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the United Cemetery, Blackhead.
