Mary Susan Brewer, age 72 of Renfrew, Ontario and formerly of Dingwall, N.S. passed away suddenly in Sydney on April 5, 2009. Born in Dingwall, she was the daughter of the late John and Hazel Petrie.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Renfrw and a former member of St. Joseph Parish, Dingwall.
She is survived by her daughters Mathilda Lambert and Mary Ann Brewer; her son John Brewer, her sister Alexandra Dixon and brothers Lloyd Petrie and Raymond Petrie as well as 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dearest friend, Deloris Dagenais.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Katherine in infancy.
There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 2 p.m. in St. Joseph Church, Dingwall. Burial under the direction of Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home will be in the parish cemetery.
