Mrs. Susanna Fricker, 91, of Mulgrave, passed away peacefully, Saturday April 11, 2009 in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home in Antigonish.
Born in Isle Aux - Morte, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of John and Lucy (Poole) Knott.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Neil’s Harbour. She was a retired Nursing Assistant at Buchanan Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by daughter Norma (Bill), one son George (Marg) Fricker; four grandchildren, Kelvin (Maria) Hussey, Keith (Ann) Hussey, Kevin (Megan) Fricker, Dorothy (Graham) Best; five great-grandchildren, Shoshanna MacKinnon, Cohen and Cole Hussey, Karlie and Tanner Best; two great-great-grandchildren, Johnathan and Kelvin and one sister Lillian Hagel.
She was predeceased by her husband John C. Fricker, daughter Elizabeth Hussey and grandson Graham; four sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be 12 noon, until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home in Ingonish. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Neil’s Harbour. Burial to follow at a later date. The Reverend Carl Fraser officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Buchanan Memorial Hospital Foundation.
