As a young man he spent time working on the oil rigs, driving school bus, and leading 4-H. He loved sports and was a great athlete. He held the record for typing speed in high school and that served him well, especially in later years, when he enjoyed completing client’s returns from his recliner chair, connected to the office by remote laptop. Keith trained as a tax consultant and was the proud owner and operator of H&R Block Income Tax in Swift Current for 30 years. The last ten years were spent mainly in Saskatoon due to his ongoing medical issues. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their Christmas concerts, dance recitals, soccer games and church pageants. His love of sports was always with him whether it was watching curling, hockey, football or baseball. Keith enjoyed playing baseball, street hockey and skating with his children and grandchildren. In later years he loved giving rides to his grandchildren on his electric wheelchair and coaching the family baseball game. Keith loved to visit with others and his warm and cheerful manner endeared him to all he knew. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 17, 2009, at 1:00 pm at First United Church in Swift Current with Rev. Catherine Christie officiating.
