You touched our hearts everyday and gave us all so much love, compassion and advice. You enjoyed the simpler things life had to offer. With all your adventures nothing gave you more joy than to make this a better place to live, for everything you did for all of us, we thank you. It is with great sadness the family of Hilda Jacobson announce her passing away peacefully on Good Friday, April 10, 2009, in Leader, SK. Hilda was the youngest daughter born to Issac and Margaret Lowe on January 22, 1922, on their homestead near Kyle, SK. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband, Norman; daughters, Geraldine (Allan) Renz of Medicine Hat, AB, Norma (Rod) Luhning of Lumsden, SK, Barbara (Ralph) Barlow of Kyle, SK and Dora (Nels) Carlson of Calgary, AB; son-in-law Gary Argue of Stewart Valley, SK; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by parents, Issac and Margaret Lowe; daughters Margaret (Peggy) Argue in 2005, Linda Jacobson in 2007; sister Alice Cayo; brother-in-law Walter Cayo; and great granddaughter Jessica Olfert. Mom attended Peronne School through Grade 10 and then completed her high school at the Rosetown Convent. Following graduation in 1940, she employed by Driscoll's General Store in Kyle. On October 5, 1940, she married Norman Jacobson. They were stationed in Hamilton, ON, until Norman went overseas in 1943, and then Hilda returned to stay with her parents in Kyle until Norman returned in 1945. They purchased Ericson's farm near Kyle and worked hand in hand farming until retiring in 1983 to Swift Current. In November 2008, they relocated to the Western Star Senior Citizen home in Leader, SK. Hilda was a devoted wife and mother she not only toiled beside Norman hauling grain, stooking, milking cows and raising six girls, she had numerous hobbies and interests. She was a very talented lady, excellent seamstress, quilter, enjoyed knitting and crocheting, gardening, fishing, golfing, woodworking and traveling down south as snow birds to McAllen, Texas. Hilda's door was always open and she thoroughly enjoyed visiting relatives, friends and neighbours. Her family will always be proud of her, as she never gave up. She was a strong, loving woman. She will be missed by her loved ones, but will always live on in the lessons she taught us. We can all be thankful that God blessed our lives with such a wonderful angel. You will always be our hero, we love you.
