Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on April 14, 2009, of Vernon Dunn of Stratford, age 80 years. Beloved husband for 54 years of Bernadette Dunn (nee MacKenzie) and loving father of Ronald (Susan), Anne Arguin (Gilles), Jeanne McIsaac (Kevin) and Kathy Boyles (John). Vernon is also survived by his grandchildren Tamara, Matthew and Stephanie Arguin, Colin, Kelly, Kimberly, Scott and Rebecca McIsaac, Taylor and Ryan Dunn and Steven and Jack Boyles; great-grandchildren Mylène, Kaleb and Brielle Seguin; brothers Gerald (Mick) Dunn (Barb) and Tom Dunn (Joanne); sisters Frances Walsh (Gerald, deceased), Dot Power (Louis) and Mary Byrne (Joe) and special niece Bernice Brothers (Frank). He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Hilda Dunn; brothers Ray and Joe Dunn and sister Flossie Curran. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Thursday, April 16, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 17, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joachim’s Cemetery, Vernon River.
