Passed peacefully away at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor on September 8, 2008, Alma Butt, age 93. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur, daughter Bertha Mercer, son Gerald, sister Annie and brother, Charles. Left to mourn with fond memories are sons Gordon (Lynn) Portugal Cove-St. Phillips; Edward (Phyllis) Grand Falls-Windsor; Leonard (Ruth) Gander; Arthur, Badger; Douglas (Cynthia) Grand Falls-Windsor; Rex, ON; Harold (Holly) Labrador City; daughters Marion Follett, Badger; Marjorie Hewitt (Gerald) Grand Falls-Windsor; Margaret Pitts (Wayne) Cannings Cove; thirty-four grandchildren and a large number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother Norman Chatman (Stella) Cannings Cove; sister Marion Penney, Cannings Cove; as well as a large number of relatives and friends. Funeral has taken place from the Badger Community Church (Anglican) on September 10th. Interment in the Anglican Church Cemetery, Badger.
