DAVID CORNELIUS FROESE ‘DAVE’

It is with sadness and fond memories that we celebrate the life and death of David Cornelius Froese. He was born in Cabri, SK, on November 17, 1932, and was a much loved father, brother, grandfather, and proud great grandfather. Dave’s successful banking career led him and his family to become active participants in many communities throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Pas, Kamsack, Wolseley, Rosetown, Glenavon, Grenfell, and Allan all were beneficiaries of Dave and his wisdom. As an active participant of numerous boards and committees, he enjoyed using his business skills to serve God and others as long as he was able. Northern Canada Evangelical Mission, Christian Counseling, and various church boards of Forest Grove Community Church were organizations dear to his heart. Dave will be greatly missed but we rejoice in the fact that he is able to join his wife, Anne, in the heavenly choir this year on Resurrection Sunday. Dave’s memory will be treasured by his daughter, Brenda (Cameron) Bonk sons, Terry (Wanda) Froese, and Don (Una) Froese; grandchildren, Rachel (Dean) Drinnan, April (Kent) Armbruster, Nicholas Froese, Melanie (Jordan) Theisen, Stephanie Froese, Maya Froese, Jessie Froese, Janna Froese, Robyn Froese, Jeremy Froese, Katrina Froese, Tegan Froese; great grandchildren, Michaela and Judah Drinnan, Brielle and Micah Armbruster; brothers, George (Elizabeth) Froese, Henry (Lois) Froese, Abe (Alma) Froese, Jake (Mary) Froese, Pete (Sheila) Froese; numerous nieces and nephews; and in-laws. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Anne (Friesen) in 2005; and his brother, Cornelius (Viola) Froese. A celebration of Dave’s life was held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the Forest Grove Community Church, 502 Webster Street, Saskatoon. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
