Thelma Margaret Kaiser passed away suddenly on April 17, 2009.
My mother was a wonderful, caring, lovable lady who adored who two grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholas. She took pride in everything she did. She always opened her heart to anyone who needed it. Her laughter and smile always left an impression to everyone who met her.
She loved horses, animals from the time she was a child. Her most loving companion was ‘Tessa’. Mom gradudated from the Cape Breton Business College and began her career as an administrative assistant with the Department of Health for over 30 years. She was and always will be the most compassionate caregiver to all of those she cared for. She will be sadly missed.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Mike) Peterson, Westville, Claudette, at home in Florence; grandsons, Matthew and Nicholas; sisters, Mary (Alex) Quinn, Florence, Myra MacDonald, Sydney Mines, Isabel (Russell) Steffens, Groves Point, Tom (Janet) Forrest, Halifax, and Joe (Dorothy) Forrest, Florence. She adored her nieces and nephews, specifically the news additions, Colby and Devlin.
She was predeceased by her parents, Stan and Isobel (nee O’Neill) Forest and brother, James.
Accommodating her wishes, there was family only on Sunday, April 19 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Wilson United Church, Florence with Rev. Norma Mills officiating. Burial at a later date in Brookside Cemetery.
We love you mom, forever in our hearts. You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
Donations in Thelma’s memory can be made to the IWK Childrens Hospital, the SPCA or a charity of choice.
