Passed suddenly away on Friday, September 12, 2008, at his trailer while camping, Albert Wadland, aged 74 years. Predeceased by his sisters, Mary, Marj, May, Marg and Doris; Brother Tom and recently predeceased by brother-in-law, Graham French and sister-in-law Shirley Gulliver. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Catherine (Kay O'Brien); six children, Dan (Rosalie), Carly (Randy), Alice (Melvin), Randy (Jackie), Paul (Shirley) and May (Wayne), grandchildren, Kayla, Jennifer, Justin, Shane, Lynn Marie, Randy, Justin, Andrew, Katie, Krysta and Jonathon; great-grandchild, Daniel; brothers, John (Sheila), George (Beatrice), Dave (Jennifer) and Arch; brothers-in-law, Ellis Cole, Melvin Oliver, Don Bugden and Bob Burton and sister-in-law, Terry Wadland, special friends Byron Mercer and Wayne Mercer, as well as a large number of other family and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14 and from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, September 15. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road, interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
