Born Birch Hills, SK. August 4, 1918. Passed away, Prince Albert, March 5, 2009. It is with great sadness that the family of Ila (Stevenson) Lokken announce her passing at the age of 90 years with her family be her side. She leaves to mourn; her son Mervin (Olive) Lokken of Prince Albert and her four grandchildren Calvin (Carol) Lokken Prince Albert; Harold Lokken, Estevan; Lloyd (Ronda) Lokken, Calgary; Crystal (Derrick) Helm, Estevan; and five great grandchildren- Kaitlin Lokken, Jonathan Helm, Kyle Helm, Hailey Helm, Jeremy Helm, and three step great grandchildren- Carmen Bradfield, Brittney Nordin, Austin Nordin. Ila was predeceased by her husband Melvin Lokken. Her parents William & Amanda Stevenson. Her brothers- Lloyd Stevenson (a triplet brother), Stanley Stevenson and Ken Stevenson. Sisters- Olive Erickson, Hazel Skrudland, Pearl Stevenson, Ella Shilling (a triplet sister), Irene Reed. Ila also leaves to mourn sister in law- Francis Stevenson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ila enjoyed country music and dancing at the Army and Navy where she was a member. She also enjoyed playing cards and camping with friends and family. Ila kept herself busy in her garden and with volunteer work with Heart and Stroke foundation and other organizations. Funeral Service Tuesday, March 10, 2PM- Birch Hills United Church. Interment Birch Hills Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and Alzheimer Association of Saskatchewan.
