Marjorie Puddicombe, 81, a resident of Taigh Na Mara, formerly of East Broadway, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Taigh Na Mara.
Born in Unsworth, England, she was the daughter of the late James and Flora (Nightingale) Shaw.
Surviving are her daughters, Florence (Jack) Anthony, Hamilton and Lisa Puddicombe, Glace Bay; sons, Bill (Shirley), Frenchvale and Robert, Sydney River; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (1993); grandson, Johnny and special friend, Alvise Casagrande “Scoopâ€.
A memorial service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday 10 a.m., with Pastor Ron Coole officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
