Passed peacefully away at the General Hospital in Carbonear on April 20, 2009, age 76. Predeceased by husband Jacob Parsons (Gade); parents William and Mary Alice Byrne; sisters Helen Hutchings and Christine Byrne, brother Ronald. Left with fond and loving memories her sons Lawrence of Kitchener, Ont.; Wayne and Melanie of Roaches Line; Herb of Alberta; James and Rhonda of St. John’s; daughters Daphne and Kevin McCarthy of St. John’s; Julia and Gerald Smith of Bryant’s Cove; Shirley and Sandy Parsons of Alberta; Gloria Penney of Alberta; Susan and Terry Sheppard of Harbour Grace; daughter Phyllis Hearn and Derrick Piercey, Harbour Grace South; daughter-in-law Joan Parsons of Harbour Grace South; brothers William and Annie of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; Tom of Carbonear; John of Thicket; brother-in-law Norman Hutchings of Tilton; sister Ann & Edward Mercer of Thicket; sisters-in-law Susie Byrne of Thicket; Jean Parsons of Bryant’s Cove, Daisy Parsons of Bryant’s Cove, Minnie Parsons of Bryant’s Cove; twenty-two grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Hussey’s Funeral Home in Upper Island Cove. The funeral Service will take place at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church with interment to follow at St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery, Bryant’s Cove.
