HARVEY, James Roger – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, on Monday, April 6, 2009 James Roger Harvey, age 53 years, of Brookfield. Predeceased by his parents: Clarence and Jane Harvey (nee Tiller); brothers: John and Calvin; father and mother -in-law: Eric and Florence Spurrell (nee Janes); brothers-in-law: Buster Spurrell, Calvin Collins and Roland Kean. Leaving to mourn with beautiful and loving memories are his wife: Trudy (nee Spurrell); daughter: Beverley (David Whalen) of St. John's; brother: Barry of Musgrave Harbour; three sisters: Marie Kean of Badger's Quay, Joyce Collins of Hare Bay, Molly (Terry Keats) of Surrey, B.C.; step-mother-in-law: Harriett Spurrell of Badger's Quay; sisters-in-law: Bev (nee Spurrell) and husband Eric Winsor of Brookfield, Shirley (nee Hounsell- Harvey) and husband Gordan Goulding, Brenda Spurrell (nee Howell) of Musgrave Harbour. Jim was proudly expecting his first grandchild in October. Also leaving to mourn are special friends: Laura and Joe Sheppard of Pool's Island and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on April 10, 2009 at the Salvation Army Citadel, New-Wes-Valley, with Captains Sheldon and Ashley Bungay. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, New-Wes-Valley.
