Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Saturday, April 25, 2009, of Francis Cheverie of Charlottetown, age 71 years. Beloved husband of Phyllis Cheverie (nee Quinn-Bridges) and loving father of Paul Cheverie (Nicole). Francis is also survived by Paul’s mother, Eleanor Durant; grandchildren Vanessa Trainor and Sarah and Brendan Cheverie; brothers Lornie Conway (Joanna), James Conway (Wendy) and Vernon Conway (Doris); sisters Milene Carr (Eugene), Lorraine McMillan, Marion Arsenault (Kenny), Helen Roach (Richard) and Susan Keefe (Mervin); brother-in-law Henry Carter; stepchildren Stephen, Anne, Allan, Christa and Bill Quinn; and father-in-law William Bridges. He was predeceased by his infant son Michael Cheverie; parents Albert Conway and Catherine Cheverie; brother Francis Conway and sisters Eileen Carter and Mary Ellen McVane. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Monday, April 27, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 28, at St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow later at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
