The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, April 26, 2009, of Gordon Justin Kelly of Summerside. Born in Charlottetown on December 21, 1925, to the late Fred G. and Aline (Landrigan) Kelly. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doreen (Grant) Kelly, and eight children: Ron (friend Dorsey Seaman), Charlottetown; Anne, Hermosa Beach, California, U.S.A.; Bob (Marie), Port Hope, Ontario; Patty (Barry) Richard, Summerside; Kathy (Gerry) Laughlin, Summerside; Paula Kelly (Tilmon Pineau), Summerside; Grant (Gail), Oshawa, Ontario; and Jim, Toronto, Ontario; 13 grandchildren: Jason (Rachelle) Kelly, Charlottetown; Nathan (Jana Crawford), Toronto, Ontario; and Tara Kelly, Charlottetown; Nyall (June) Kelly, Webster, New York, U.S.A; Nicole Kelly, Vancouver, British Columbia; and Ian Kelly, Port Hope, Ontario; Jillian (Jeff) Mahar, Summerside; and Jordan Richard, Summerside; Mike Laughlin (Jantina Macleod), Summerside; and Jeff Laughlin (Miranda Gallant), Summerside; Sean Pineau, Summerside; and Brett Pineau, Summerside; and Sarah (Aaron Jackson) Kelly-Jackson, Bentonville, Arkansas, U.S.A.; six great-grandchildren; and his sister, Grace, Charlottetown. Predeceased by his brother, Russ of Summerside, and his sister, Fran Duffy of Charlottetown. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the KidSport Fund of Prince Edward Island or the George R. Pearkes, V.C., Branch Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund. Members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. www.moase.ca
