Brian Scott Forward, 45, of Bedford, Nova Scotia, passed away in the Dartmouth General Hospital on April 24th, 2009, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born on July 26th, 1963, in New Glasgow, he was the son of George Forward, Trenton, and Lillian (Phalen) O’Hearn (Mick), Halifax.
After graduating from high school in Trenton, Brian moved to Halifax where he began his career in the hospitality industry.
Most recently Brian was General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express in Halifax, and the former Assistant General Manager at the Park Place Ramada Hotel and Conference Centre, Burnside, Nova Scotia.
He began his career at the Lord Nelson Hotel and Suites, Halifax.
Brian was an avid golfer and loved spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lori (Pennell) daughters, Ashley and Emily, sister, Janice Koehoorn (John MacMillan), New Glasgow, father-in-law, Larry Pennell, Newfoundland, sisters-in-law, Bev Piercey (Lawrence), NL, Debbie Hamel (Roger), Calgary, Kaye Matheson (Rob), Toronto, Karen Pennell (Tom Grant), Dartmouth, Larry Pennell Jr. (Denise), Elmsdale, nieces and nephews, Nancy, Kelly, Jamie, Ken, Joshua, Devon, Jerrod, Daniel, Bailey and Isaac.
Funeral services will be held at Atlantic Funeral Homes at 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, N.S., April 28th, 2009, at 2 p.m., Reverend James Haughn officiating. Cremation has taken place burial at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Palliative Care.
Brian will be forever missed but not forgotten by his family and friends.
