Peacefully at the P.E.I. Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Thursday, March 12, 2009, of Mary Edna Josey (Samson-Gallant), formerly of 3 Willow Street, Charlottetown, age 100 years.
Mother of Arlene Batchilder (Hardy Jorgensen) of Charlottetown, and Stephen (Ida) Gallant of Toronto, Ontario. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and her sisters-in-law, Marion Samson, Edna Samson and Madeline Samson.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Rodolphe Gallant; her second husband, Robert Bruce Josey; her sons, Arnold Gallant, Byron “Buck” Gallant, Danny Gallant; and her daughter, Rose Ryan.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home for visitation on Tuesday, April 28, from 6-9 p.m.
Funeral mass from the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer on Wednesday, April 29, at 10 a.m.
