DOUGLAS PATRICK (RICK) WILSON
December 17, 1949 - April 21, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rick Wilson, surrounded peacefully by his family on Tuesday, April 21, after a hard fought battle with a rare blood disorder. Leaving to mourn, the love of his life and best friend, Goldie. Amazing father to Jeff (Jolene) and Tara (Dana) and his beloved dog, Bo, and adored Grandpa to Jake, Julia, Jessica, Griffin and Paige. He was predeceased by his father Earl and sister-in-law Karen, he will be sadly missed by his mother Lena; brothers Steve, Tom (Terry), Mark (Lori); and sister Liz (Bob); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Winston and Emma Coates; brothers-in-law, Glen (Janice) and Gary (Tina); and special aunt Alma; along with his many nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by the many friends and neighbours he touched during his 28 years in the military and 10 years with WestJet as a pilot. The world will be less bright for all those who knew him. There will be no formal service as per his wishes, please raise a glass in his memory. If desired, memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.
