Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 of Mr. Joseph “Joe” Myers of Andrew’s Lodge and formerly of Covehead in his 87th year. Dear father of Marie (Joe) Hynes of Codroy Valley, N.L. and Terry (Kim) Myers of Pleasant Grove. He is also survived by four loving grandchildren Brody, Mathieu, Marcy and Nicole; his sister Caroline “Carrie” Burt of York. He was predeceased by his parents William & Katherine (nee Venoit) Myers; sisters and brothers Irene, Irving, Alfred, Jack, Kay, Bernard and Charlie, Maida and Bernie O’Brien. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 2 p.m. Thursday then transferred to St. Eugene’s Church, Covehead for funeral mass at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the P.E.I. Kidney Foundation.
