Raymond Allan, age 19, of Amherst, passed away suddenly at Shinimicas Bridge, NS on Sunday, April 26, 2009.

Born in Amherst, he was a son of Michael Allan (Vicki Holland) of Dartmouth and Sheila Allan (Stephen Millard) of Amherst.

Born and brought up in Amherst, he graduated from Amherst Regional High School in 2007. Raymond was very active and adventurous. He enjoyed snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, and driving his motorcycle. Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family. Ray added life, love and joy to everyone and everything he touched, living every moment fully.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, his paternal grandmother Grace Allan, Amherst; maternal grandmother Alberta Jeffries, Sussex/Moncton; sister Niki, Amherst, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St, Amherst (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Christ Church, Amherst on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 2 pm, Archdeacon Glenn Eason officiating.
