Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Complex on Tuesday, April 28th, 2009, in the presence of his loving spouse, Ruby, Gordon Maxwell Anthony of Blaketown in his 73rd year. Predeceased by his parents; George and Frances Anthony, son Greg Anthony, brother, George and sisters Elizabeth, Bertha and Sheila. He leaves to mourn, with precious memories, his loving spouse of 31 years, Ruby and his three sons: Paul (Caroline) Anthony, Gordie (Tina) Anthony, Dean (Elaine) Anthony, as well as six grandchildren; Jennifer, Melissa, Lindsay, Lorelle, Lauren and Joshua; two great grandchildren; Nathan and Emma; six stepchildren; Denise (Kurt) Pike, Karen (Ward) George, Larry (Krista) Philpott, Nancy Reid, Todd (Dana) Philpott, Michael (Missoon) Philpott; 13 grandchildren; Mark, Melissa, Sarah, Julieanne, Liam, Ryan, Eric, Chelsea, William, Emily, Benjamin, Mirandah and Anna. He is also lovingly remembered by sisters; Julia (Al) Baldwin and Lillian (Ted, deceased) Butler, as well as a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo with visitation on Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the Salvation Army Citadel, TBS Corps, on Friday, May 1st at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blaketown. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Gordon’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation NL.
