(Nov. 13, 1944 - Sept. 20, 2008 Passed peacefully away at home in Kilbride in the presence of his loving family following a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. Predeceased by his wife Freda; parents Alice and Henry; brother Francis; nephew Glen Lee and niece Heather Silver. Mourning his loss are daughters: Alison (Dave Craggs) and Colleen (Tony Dooley); sons: Ken (Lois) and Paul (Jenn); sisters: May Lee (Jack), Joan Perchard (Ron), Tish Harrigan (Ceci) and Shelia Silver (Tony); brothers: Gerald (Beverly), Henry (Toni), and Bob (Lorraine); grandchildren: Katy, Davey, Brittany, Justin, and Kenna; sisters-in-law Shelia Peirson, Elaine Howlett and Tina Miller (Fred); brothers-in-law Leo Stead (Rosalie), Herbert Stead (Paula), Alf Stead (Janet), Paul Stead (Dianne) and Joey Stead; and his special buddy Stormy; also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Dad will also be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues at the Engineering Dept. at the City of Mount Pearl. Special thanks to Dr. Natsch and the nursing staff of 4NB for the excellent care. To Dr. Fiona O'Shea and the palliative care team, we are so grateful for you assistance in arranging Dad's transfer to home. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Sunday form 3 p.m.- 9 p.m. and Monday form 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Interment to follow at the R.C. Cemetery, Kilbride. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to Daffodil Place.
