HUCULIAK - Peter

Peter Huculiak was born on July 7, 1935 to Peter and Mary (nee Tabasniuk) Huculiak at a place near Wakaw called Carpenter, SK. He passed away at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK on Friday, April 24, 2009. Peter was married on July 8, 1967 to Dorothy Stevens and together they raised their daughter Karen. Peter worked for W.E. Gange on the farm for 10 years, he then worked for 32 years as a Patrol (grader) Operator for the R.M. of Prince Albert until his retirement in September, 2000. Due to illness, for the past few years Peter spent much time in and out of the hospital. Peter is survived by his wife of 41 years Dorothy; his daughter Karen (Tim) Loran of Prince Albert, SK; his granddaughter Marnie; his sisters Olga (Bruce) Robertson of St. Paul, AB and Anne Silverson of Regina, SK; his brothers Nestor (Virginia) of Edmonton, AB, Nick of Saskatoon, SK and Alex of Vancouver, BC; his brother-in-law Bill Pawliak of Cudworth, SK and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary Huculiak; his brothers John, Fred, William, Mike, Steve and Julias; his sisters Nettie, Dora and Emily and his father-in-law & mother-in-law William and Elizabeth Stevens. At Peter’s request there will be no funeral service. Private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 – 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
