August 3, 1959 - April 27, 2009. It is with great sorrow that the family of the late Juanita States announces her sudden passing on Monday, April 27, 2009. Juanita was kind, loving and passionate and will be forever dearly missed. Leaving to mourn are her beloved husband Robert, and treasured daughters: Alexandra and Angelise, mother Barbara Bright-Patterson. Also her uncles Ed Bright, Earl Cooper, and Bill Keates, plus special Cos Charles and many other cousins, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her father Lionel Cecil Patterson, grandparents Alice and George Bright, and Beatrice Della Torre-Patterson, special Aunts Betty Cooper, Faith (She-She) Keates, and Flo Bright (Ontario), Arlette Calver and Lillian Patterson (Australia). A memorial service celebrating Juanita’s life will be held in the Chapel at St. Bonaventure’s College on Tuesday, May 12, at 7:30 p.m., reception to follow. All family and friends are welcome. At Juanita’s wish cremation has taken place. No flowers by request. In her honour donations may be made to the St. Bonaventure’s College Bursary Fund, Bonaventure Avenue, St. John’s, NL A1C 6B3.
