Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, May 2, 2009, with her children by her side, of Joan Mary Gaudet, beloved wife of the late William Gaudet of Anglo-Tignish, age 73 years. Born on June 12, 1935, to the late Claude Hogan and Hazel (nee Harper) Hogan O’Brien of the Maplewood Manor, Alberton. Loving mother to Lori (Bruce) Johnston of Charlottetown, Douglas (Patsy) of Anglo Tignish, Dawn Gaudet (Norm MacNeill) of Ottawa, Dean (Heck) of York, Traci Gaudet (Mark Plant) of Summerside, Taylor (Krista) of Tignish. Loving grandmother to Braden, Kyle, Katie, Geena, Alex, Sarah, Laura, Evan and Logan. Great-grandmother to Gracie. Dear sister to Preston (Alice) Hogan of Christopher’s Cross, Linda Lou (John) Robinson of Summerside, Betty Paquet of New Hampshire, Judy Murphy of Massachusetts, Donnie Hogan of Montreal. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Hogan. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday morning May 5, 2009, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
