At MacMillan Lodge on Saturday, May 2, 2009, of Walter White of Donagh, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Jean White (nee Kelly) and loving father of Irene Sanderson (Don Sanderson), Dan White, deceased (Mary Perry White), Maurice White, Bob White, Marian White, Peter White (Chris Maclaren), Mary Lou White, Vic White, Janet White-Riddell (Steve Riddell) and Ed White (Janice Harper). Pa will be sadly missed by 25 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sister, Mary Doyle (Leo) and sister-in-law, Beatrice Hughes. He was predeceased by his son, Dan White; parents, Ed White and Kate Koughan; brother, Martin White; daughter-in-law, Wendy White and great-grandson, Aidan Minnis. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Wednesday, May 6, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7, at St. Patrick’s Church, Fort Augustus, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at the church cemetery. The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 6, at 6:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Patrick’s Debt Reduction Fund would be appreciated.
