Ruby Bernice Fullerton age 91, of Tidnish Bridge, NS passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Gables Lodge following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Tidnish Bridge, N.S., she was a daughter of the late Harry and Pearle (Chappell) Davidson. As a teenager she worked in Moncton, NB at T. Eaton & Co. Following her marriage to Murray Fullerton, she moved to the Malartic and later to Tidnish Bridge, where she made her home until moving to Amherst due to failing health. Ruby was a member of the Tidnish Bridge United Church, member of the Ladies Aid, and United Church Women and Tidnish Bridge Community Center. Her talents included sewing and quilting, but her real passion was her beautiful flower gardens. Surviving are her two sons, Wayne (Judy) of Amherst and Glenn (Carole) of Amherst Shore. Granddaughters, Lisa Fullerton (Wayne) Halifax, Karen (Don) Hubley, Amherst Shore, grandsons, Andy (Rhonda) Fullerton, Tidnish Bridge and Michael (Judy), Amherst, great- grandchildren, Alanna & Vance Hiscock, Colby & Darcy Fullerton, Mitchell & Marshall Hubley. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Beulah Davidson and Marjorie Fullerton, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Murray, brothers Raymond and Sherman Davidson and niece Lorena Connick. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1 - 2 p.m. followed by funeral service at 2 p.m. all in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst. (667-9906). Rev. Lloyd Bruce will officiate. Interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery, Tidnish Bridge.
