It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alice Melina Anthony announce her passing at the O’Connell Centre in Corner Brook on Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 in her 86th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her nephew, Derek (Heather) Cooper and her great-niece, Jenneil Cooper, all of St. John's; her special friends: Phyllis Clinch, Vera May and Malcolm and Pauline Fudge, all of Deer Lake; her friends she made while she was a resident of the Deer Lake Manor; also a number of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Ross I. Anthony and her parents, Ambrose and Daisy Torraville. The family will be receiving family and friends from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, today, Saturday, October 4th, 2008, from where also the funeral service will take place on Sunday, October 5th, 2008 at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. Dr. Tony Newell officiating. Burial to follow at the United Church section of the Wights Road Cemetery, Deer Lake, NL.
