It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alton Taylor announce his passing on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories; his wife of 65 years, Ella (nee Brake); children: Diana (Charles Wells), Nina Warren (deceased Reverend Thomas Warren), David (Patricia) and Ted (Joy); grandchildren: Glenda, Michael, Todd, Duane, Christopher, Edward and Colin; great grandchildren: Angela, Jeffrey, Melanie, Nathan, Joshua, Ashley, Kayla, Rebecca, Hillary, Liam, Nicholas, Steven, Kelsey and Courtney; great-great grandchild: Nicholas; brothers and sisters: Fred (Shirley), Jack (Betty), Lorne, Austin (Doreen), Clifton (Cynthia), James (Edna), Wallace (Brenda), Olive Penney, Doris Parsons, June Wheeler and Lillian Brake (Llewellyn), sister-in-law; Evelyn Marche, as well as very large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. , and from Holy Trinity Church in Meadows on Saturday, 10: a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating.
