It is with great sadness that the family of the late Amanda Anderson announce her passing on Thursday, June 12th, 2008 at the O’Connell Center in her 67th year. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 48 years Pye; her children Ricky (Renee), Dean (Delores), Pye (Dale), Tina (Richard); her grandchildren Terry, Neil, Antoine, Mitch, Dustin, Dawson, Natasha, Lance Crocker, Noah Nathan and Elana. Her sisters Gertie Purchase, Sis Jane Sutherland, Natta (Wes) Kearly, all of Bishop’s Falls, Edna Hefferman of Goulds, Tootse Mabel Harris of Grand Falls, Vera (Ernest) of Bonavista and Isabel (Bill) Fillier of Placentia Bay; her brothers: Ross (Blanche), Wylie (Florence) and Pearly (Marg), all of Bishop’s Falls. Also her special niece Daisy Bennett, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Wylie, parents Winnie and John Burge, her brothers-in-law Ralph Purchase, John Sutherland, Frank Hefferman and Max Harris. Visitation will take place from the Pentecostal Church in Shoal Brook today, Saturday where the funeral service will also take place on Sunday at 2:00 p.m., interment to follow at the family plot in the United Cemetery in Shoal Brook.
