It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Jane Taylor (nee Jacobs) announce her passing, after a lengthy illness, on Monday, March 9th, 2009 at the Bonne Bay Health Center in Norris Point, in her 57th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her loving husband, Kevin; her son, David (Trisha) of Fort McMurray, Alberta; her granddaughter, Alyssa; her siblings: Hubert (Joanne) Jacobs of Athabasca, Alberta, Maxwell (Doris) Jacobs of Maple Ridge, BC and Marie (William) Decker of Rocky Harbour; her brother-in-law, Garfield Rice of Seal Cove, White Bay; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Linda Taylor of Woody Point; her sisters-in-law: Rowena (Tate) Wight of Shoal Brook, Ruby (Gene) Locke and Mrs. Isabel Simms, both of Corner Brook. Also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jane was predeceased by her mother and father, Ida and Wilfred Jacobs; her sister; Beatrice Rice; her father-in-law, Chesley Taylor; and her brother-in-law, Walter G. Simms. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Wesley United Church in Rocky Harbour, today, Wednesday, March 11th, 2009 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 12th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mathews Anglican church in Rocky Harbour with the Rev. Beverly Snow and Canon John Olsson officiating. Burial to follow at the St. Andrews United Church Cemetery in Woody Point. Flowers and/or donations to the Wesley United Church or to the St. Andrews United Church in Jane's memory would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.
