It is with great sadness that the family of the late Beatrice Piercey announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 6th, 2008 at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her two loyal sons: Darrell (Sandra) and Reginald; three grandchildren: Stephen Piercey (Bambi), David Piercey and Janice Dwyer (Sean) and her precious great-granddaughter Amy Dwyer; sister Maggie Simms of the Interfaith Home; daughter-in-law Patricia Piercey; sister-in-law Rachel Spencer of Harbour Breton; special niece Margie Parsons (Gary), and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Freeman Piercey in 1999 and brothers: Henry and William Spencer. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 10-12 noon. The Funeral Service will take place at All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street on Sunday, November 9th at 2:30 pm with Canon Derek Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints Memorial Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
