It is with great sadness that the family of the late Benjamin T. Parsons announce his passing September 5th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook in his 80th year. He will be sadly missed by his four sons Byron (Loretta), Cormack, NL, Bryant (Linda), Rocky Harbour, NL, Roger (Gloria), Bill (Myrtle), both of Fort McMurray, Alberta; grandchildren: Tina (Dave) Reid, Cathy (Chris) Cabot, Kristy Parsons and Wilfred Parsons; step-grandchildren: Roxanne, Steven, Michael, Danika, Darlene; his great-grandchildren: Bryon, Carol Ann, Christopher and Austin; step great-grandchildren: Jillian, Joshua, Jordon, Dawyn; his sisters: Winnifred Goodyear, Stella Harding and Lillian Humber. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Beatrice Parsons (Organ), parents Benjamin and Annie Parsons, brothers: Sidney, Donald and Garland; his sisters: Edna, Cassie, Daisy and also step granddaughter Dianne. The visitation took place from St. Matthews Anglican Church, Rocky Harbour, on Sunday, September 7th, 2008, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 where also the funeral service took place from on Monday, September 8th, 2008, at 2 p.m., with Canon John Olsson officiating. Burial to follow at the family plot in Rocky Harbour, NL. The pallbearers were Byron, Bryant, Roger and Bill Parsons, David Reid and Christopher Cabot.
