Passed away on October 23, 2008, after a courageous battle with Wegener’s Disease, age 55 years. She was predeceased by her father Patrick Burke, brother Clarence Burke and two baby siblings. Leaving to mourn are her daughters Nadia and Danine (Dennis Pynn), friend Dana, mother Mary Alice Burke, siblings Pius Burke (Odette, Krista and family and Kerry), Eileen Coles (Winston, Rhonda and family and Kirby), Annette Myers (Leon and Allan), Julia Costello (Tony, Kyla and Jada), Terry Burke, Agnes Coles (Les, Lyndon and Genine and family), Patrick Burke (Shelly and Nigel) and Maria Burke. Also left to mourn are the LaVallee family and many more family and friends. Bernice will be waked at St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Flower’s Cove. The Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday at 2:00 PM. Mass will be officiated by Fr. Hynes and Fr. Roger. Burial Service to follow at Nameless Cove R.C. Cemetery.
