It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bertha Penney announces her passing at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, May 12, 2008 in her 80th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, daughters: Valda (Bill) Byrne, Rowena (Ron) Brake, Emma (Bob) Ozerkevich and Tracey (Chris) Park; sons: Richard (Wanda) Penney and Bernie (Marlene) Penney; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters: Alma (Rod) Park, Mary Kendell and Alice (Warden) Skinner; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Penney; parents, Amelia and William Wheeler; and brothers: Clayton, Harry, Fiander and Freddy. Visitation will be held at the Anglican Church, Summerside on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
