It is with great sadness that the family of the late Chris M Roberts announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point on Friday August 1st 2008, in his 83rd Year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his family; daughters: Neta (Dar) Cullihall, of Rocky Harbour, and Faye Roberts (Tory) of Thompson, Manitoba. son; Chris (Norma) of Rocky Harbour, stepsons; Jimmy (Beulah) Payne of Cow Head, and Jerry (Ann) Payne of St. John's; ten grandchildren: Michael Cullihall, Ann Cullihall, Deanna Pearce, Krista Pearce, Nikita Roberts, Fred Payne, Jamie Payne (Faith), Shawn Payne, Faye Payne, and Tim Payne; two great grandchildren: Justin Payne and Ryan Payne; his brothers: Elwood (Jenny) Roberts, Dawson (Edith) Roberts, Robert (Muriel) Payne; his sisters: Annie Payne, and Innis (Bob) Brown; brothers-in-law: John White, Eustace (Una) Hutchings, Maurice (Ada) Hutchings; sister-in-law: Mable Hutchings and Alva Hutchings; very dear and special friend Lizzie: Also a large circle of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Chris was predeceased by his wife Maude, father Eli, mother Edna, stepfather Charl, sisters: Letitia and Bride; brothers: Quinton and Lyman; brothers-in-law: Joe Payne, Nath Hutchings, Roland Hutchings, Stedman Hutchings and George Bugden; sisters-in-law: Dora Bugden, Nellie Hutchings and Jane Hutchings. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Matthews Anglican Church in Rocky this evening Saturday August 2nd 2008 from 7-9 pm and on Sunday August 3rd 2008 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, from where also the funeral service will take place from on Monday August 4th 2008 at 3 pm with Canon John Olsson officiating with the Burial to follow at the church cemetery in Rocky Harbour. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
