It is with great sadness that the family of Claude Maxwell Eveleigh announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday, February 13th, 2009 in his 72nd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his children: Glenda (Mrs. Garland Parsons) of Edmonton, Alberta, Carson (Betty) Eveleigh of Invik, N.W.T., Woodrow Eveleigh of Edmonton, Alberta, Larry (Minnie) Eveleigh of Hampden and Michael (Glenda) Eveleigh of Edmonton, Alberta; his 36 grandchildren and great- grandchildren; his sisters: Mrs. Rita Simms of Brampton, Ontario, Mrs. Gladys Mugford of Hampden, Eileen (Mrs. Simon Osmond) of Hampden and Maxine (Mrs. Gary Norman) of London, Ontario; his brothers: Oswald (Joan) Eveleigh and Scott (Viola) Eveleigh, both of Ontario; his brother in law, Glen Batstone. Also leaves to mourn a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his extended families. Claude was predeceased by his wife, Anita Eveleigh; his daughter, Rosalind Davis; his grandson, Michael Fiddle; his parents: Robert & Patience Eveleigh; his brother, Cecil Eveleigh; his sisters: Mabel Snow, Daphane Batstone and Madeline Eveleigh; his brothers-in-law: Jim Simms and Samuel Mugford. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Pentecostal Church in Hampden today, Saturday, February 14th, 2009, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, February 15th, 2009 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., from where also the funeral service will take place on Monday, February 16th, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tyrone Ball officiating. Burial to follow at the church cemetery in Hampden. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
