David Glen Harding, 42, Charlottetown, PEI passed away suddenly on Friday, August 1, 2008 while on vacation in the Iles-de-la- Madeline, Quebec. Born in Norris Point, NL, David is the youngest child of Don & Rosamond Harding of Bedford, NS. David’s passions in life were his family, friends, colleagues and students. David is survived by sons: Andrew (Meeghan) & Joshua and their mother Debbie; his parents: Donald & Rosamond Harding, Bedford, NS; brothers: Wade Harding (Karen) Bedford, NS, Dennis Harding, (Lorraine) Cambridge, Ontario; sister Glenda Eddy (Roger) Revelstoke, BC; father & mother-in-law Ernest & Stella Bishop, Heart’s Delight, NL; sister-in-law Denise Noseworthy (Dave) Virginia, USA; brother-in-law Gregory Bishop (Valerie), St. John’s, NL. David was the Program Manager of the Tourism & Culinary Centre of Holland College where he has worked for 12 years. David led a very active personal and professional life and was a member of numerous associations and boards. He was also in the process of completing his Masters of Business Administration. David was instrumental in establishing the Culinary Institute of Canada as one of the premiere culinary schools in the world. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces & nephews, Vanessa (Matt Butler), Jessica, Zachary, Christopher (Heather), Tyler, Natasha, Bjorn, Ehren, Erika, and Nicholas, and grand-nephew Alexander. David’s fun loving personality will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home, 33 Longworth Avenue, Charlottetown, P.E.I. (Telephone 902-894-4433) until Wednesday afternoon, then transferred to Spring Park United Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Donations can be made to the Charlottetown Bluephins Aquatic Club or a charity of your choice in memory of David.
