It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Walsh announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the age of 87 years. She will be sadly missed by seven stepchildren: Gloria (Roger) Marche, Mary (Eugene) Mercer, Madonna Walsh (Mike Percivall), Maria (Ian) Marshall, Francis Walsh, Ken Walsh and Carolyn (Perry) White; one brother, Alphonsus Stewart of Stephenville; three sisters: Josephine Bennett of Stephenville, Gertrude (Roy) Lewis of Corner Brook and Dora (Gerry) MacDonald of St. John’s; niece, Sandra Stewart of Stephenville and nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Cheeseman; second husband, Francis Walsh; sister, Laura Janes; brother, Gordon Stewart; parents, Felix and Mary Agnes Stewart. Visitation took place on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville. Funeral service took place on Thursday, April 23rd at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville. Her remains were forwarded to Rushoon, Placentia Bay for interment. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
