It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel M. Young announce her passing at the Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on Sunday, August 24th, 2008 at the age of 81 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Cecil, her two sons: Robert Woods of Halifax, Jack (Marie) Woods of Cambridge, Ontario, five daughters: Sadie (Percy) Blackmore, Dartmouth, Diane LeCointre (Lewis Rioux) of Lourdes, Mary Symonds (Max Simms) of Mount Pearl, Marguerite Kendell of Dartmouth, Evelyn Jackson (Aiden Jesso) of Lourdes, one brother, James (Elizabeth) Vallis of Lourdes, four step-children: Joan (Norbert) Alexander of Kippens, Bernard (Patricia) Young of Sudbury, Ontario, Marion (Wayne) Power of Calgary, Junior Young, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Philomena Vallis and her step-sister, Marg Drake. Visitation took place on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East. Funeral Service took place today, Wednesday, August 27th at 10:00 a.m. at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East with Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
