It is with great sadness that the family of the late Evelyn Retieffe announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Friday, July 25, 2008 at the age of 69 years. She will be sadly missed by her common-law husband, Bernard Benoit of Piccadilly; three sons: Stephen in Hawaii, Jason in Stephenville and Dominic in Toronto; two daughters: Lisa Skinner in Stephenville and Doris Retieffe in Stephenville Crossing and her four grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her five sisters: Geraldine Jesso in Kippens, Loretta Chator, Mary Young, Dorothy Young and Dinah Young, all in Toronto; five brothers: Andrew Young, Hughie Young and Leo Young, all in Toronto, Harold Young in St. John’s and Michael Young in Piccadilly; along with a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation took place at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville and from Maria Regina Parish in Port au Port East. Funeral service took place on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Maria Regina Parish in Port au Port with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port. Funeral arrangements were under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
