Florence Edith Parsons

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Edith Parsons announce her passing on Tuesday, March 4th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Eric (Penny) Parsons, Scarborough, Ont., Dan (Josie) Parsons, Kitchener, Ont., Sid (Ada) Parsons, Cormack and Mable Peters, Raymond, Alb.; grandchildren: Wendy, Winston, Priscilla, Shelley, Jason, Matthew, Jean Norman and Garland; great-grandchildren: Morgan, Tyson, Leah, Phoebe and Kate; brothers: George (Winnie) Major, John (Maureen) Major and David (Pat) Major; sisters-in-law: Maggie Major, Lily Humber, Stella Harding and Winnie Goodyear; brother-in-law Ben Parsons. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Garland Parsons, sister Sophie (Milton) McKenzie, brothers Martin Major and Bertie (Myrtle) Major, sisters-in-law Beattie Parsons and Edna (Joe) Burton, brothers-in-law Donald (Effie) Parsons, Ralph Humber, Sid Parsons, Peter Harding and Howard Goodyear. Friends may visit St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Rocky Harbour on Wednesday and Thursday from where the funeral service will take place on Friday, March 7th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Canon John Olsson officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
