It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Matilda Cooney announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the age of 85 years. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters: Shirley Cooney (Eric Sheppard) of Stephenville and Glenys Cooney; two brothers: Newman Cooper of Clarenville and Ralph Cooper; and two grandchildren: Marilyn Cooney and Tonya Cooney. She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick Thomas Cooney. Cremation has taken place at Russell’s Crematorium, Stephenville.
