It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Baxter Dean announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Friday, May 30, 2008 at the age of 77 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Edna, three daughters: Dolores (Leonard) Barter of Stephenville, Beverly (Keith) Pottle of Halifax, Lorraine (George) Park of Stephenville, four grandchildren: Deanna Park (Michael), Bradley Park (Jenn), Jan (Nick) Boran, Adam Pottle (Britt), one brother, Frank (Ada) Dean of North Harbour, one sister, Bernice (Harvey) Drover of Hodges Cove, NL, brothers-in-law, Ronald Sharpe of St. John’s, Banfield (Loretta) McEachren, Mervyn (Bertha) McEachren, David McEachren, Cameron (Marilyn) McEachren, Selby (Carmel) McEachren, sisters-in-law, Mary (Edgar) Hulan, Evelyn (Angus) Loder, Francis (Aiden) White and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilson and Gladys and sister, Doris Sharpe. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, June 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Hillview Avenue, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
