It is with great sadness that the family of the late Geraldine Shanahan announce her passing at her residence on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the age of 73 years. She will be sadly missed by her two brothers: Harold (Olivera) Swyers of St. George’s, Cornelius Swyers of Scotland. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Josephine, brother Richard and sister Marjorie. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at St. Joseph’s Parish in St. George’s on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, September 25th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Courthouse Road, St. George’s. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Stephenville.
